How Dog Days Pool Service Works
Do you have to sign anything? Be home? Lock up the dog? What does it cost, and how do you stop? These are the questions people ask before they call, so here are the answers in one place.
Getting started

1. You call
Describe the pool and the yard. You'll reach Larry or Hilary.
2. Larry sees the pool
He always looks at it in person before pricing it. The estimate for weekly service is free.
3. Anything that needs fixing
Parts or repairs the pool needs are raised on day one, with the cost. A green pool is cleaned first and priced separately.
4. The first visit
Larry typically does it himself: water balanced, equipment checked, run time set.
5. Your route day
Your pool joins the route that runs through your area, with its regular technician.
What you agree to, and what you don't
There is no written contract. When service starts, Larry walks you through a verbal maintenance agreement: your visit day, what gets cleaned, which chemicals are included and why, and what costs extra. What we quote is what you pay for the weekly visit and the basic chemicals, with no hidden fees.
Why no contract? We've never had anyone knock our door down wanting one, and to us, requiring one seems weird. A pool is a chaotic biological environment, open to the weather, bugs, and swimmers. It doesn't fit a fixed-cost subscription.
You don't need to be home
Keys and codes:Give us any gate codes or keys we'll need when service starts.
Screen doors:If you lock yours, leave it unlocked on your service day.
Pets:We're dog- and cat-friendly. You decide how we handle your pets, and it goes into your file, where your technician can see it. Some customers want a text before we arrive so they can bring the dogs in; others let them roam. Either way, we make sure gates and patio doors are shut behind us. If a dog is aggressive, we'll ask you to keep it inside on service day.
A text or a photo:On request, we'll text before we arrive or send a photo when we're done.
Billing, pausing, and canceling
Invoices
Mailed to you each month
Ways to pay
Cash, check, card on file, Zelle, or automatic bank draft
Pausing
Call with an end date and a resume date. That's all we need.
Canceling
Call. We'll tell you if there's a balance, and if we had your card on file, it's removed from our records the day you cancel.
